Santa Monica Pier Aquarium, Shark Sundays

Don't pass on the opportunity to attend Shark Sundays, a popular weekly feature at the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium. Beginning at 3:30 p.m. every Sunday, visitors can attend an informative and educational presentation about these often misunderstood animals while our horn and swell sharks cruise around the tank, noses out of the water, mouths open, anticipating the meal to come.  Expect a splash of seawater if you’re close enough to the exhibit, then watch a shark-themed movie, shown at scheduled intervals throughout the afternoon. Don't forget to stop by the pier exhibit, and see if you can find the Pacific angel shark - also, everyone is invited to make a fun shark craft project that they can take with them.

Heal the Bay’s Santa Monica Pier Aquarium is located beach level at the historic Santa Monica Pier and attracts more than 85,000 visitors annually, including 15,000 students visiting for school and group field trips. The center serves as an educational resource for the community and attracts a portion of the estimated 4 million visitors to the Santa Monica Pier each year.
The Aquarium’s vision is to inspire understanding and conservation of the Santa Monica Bay and its watersheds through hands-on education, environmental stewardship and marine discovery.
