The City of Gulf Shores presents the 30th edition of the Entertainment Series! The 2017 series will feature 12 shows from 5 different acts consisting of Grammy Award winners to orchestras, acoustic harmonies and spectacular performances.
 
January 23 & 24 – Atlantic City Boys – 7 p.m.
Comprised of four dynamic singers, this group lends their world class vocals to the rock-n-roll harmonies made famous by groups like The Drifters, The Four Seasons, The Beach Boys and so many more.

January 30 & 31 – The New Christy Minstrels – 7 p.m.
Their influence on pop and folk music is undeniable, with chart-topping hits such as “Green, Green,” “This Land Is Your Land,” “Denver,” and the Oscar-winning song “Chim Chim Cher-ee.”

February 6 & 7 – Kingston Trio – 7 p.m.
Emerging from San Francisco’s North Beach scene in 1957, The Kington Trio brought the rich tradition of American folk music to the mainstream. Influencing musical tastes of a generation, they enjoyed unprecedented record sales and worldwide fame in the 50s and 60s.

February 13 & 14 – The Young Irelanders – 7 p.m.
Comprised of eight young performers, this sensational show features traditional Irish song and dance. This talented group has performed for U.S. Presidents, the Queen of England, and Price Albert of Monaco. 

February 20 & 21 – Russian String Orchestra – 7 p.m.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary the Russian String Orchestra, previously Chamber Orchestra Kremlin, is comprised of some of Russia’s finest young string.

March 6 & 7 – Gershwin with a Twist – 7 p.m.
Closing out the Entertainment Series is Gershwin with a Twist.  Staring pianist and vocalist extraordinaire Brian Gurl and vocalist Michele Pruyn, this six piece productions features contemporary treatments of their music ranging from reggae to doo wop and rhythm and blues to rap.
